The Flamenco
Flamenco art is composed of singing, guitar playing and dancing. It developed in Andalusia between the 18th and 19th centuries and is influenced by the mixture of several cultures: Arabic, Jewish and Christian.
Flamenco is not only entertainment and spectacle, it is more than an art, it is a political claim, a way of reflecting the oppression of the Andalusian people, a feeling… in short, a way of life.
Flamenco was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2010.
