Úbeda and Baeza, World Heritage Site cities, are two of the most beautiful cities of the Jaen’s Province. Located in south-east Andalusia, they are compared with Italian cities due to their magnificent monumental Renaissance from the 16th and 17th centuries.

linked cities located in north-west of the province of Jaén. Placed on the central point of the hills called “comarca de la Loma”, they are surrounded by the Guadalquivir and Guadalimar valleys. These two cities are situated on hills of 750 meters high and only eight kilometers are separating the one from the other.
The landscape in these cities is created by an “ocean of olive trees”, as the poet Antonio Machado wrote.
Úbeda and Baeza are two of the few Renaissance jewels preserved in Spain. In a small place, a majestic monumental ensemble raises, composed by palaces and churches from the 16th and 17th centuries. Not only the Renaissance period has marked their inhabitants’ lives, but also the vestiges of the Muslim and Jewish cultures can be observed on their narrow and paved streets.
